Work LawSafe Policy Coverage

Coverage Summary
The LawSafeTM at Work policy covers legal defence advice and costs if your employees or working directors are charged with an offence under any statute of the offence arising out of their employment with the Insured. The need for protection may arise from:

  • Serious Traffic Offences
  • Criminal Nuisance
  • Assault
  • Trespass
  • and other breaches of the Crimes Act
Major Exclusions
  • Alleged breach of professional duty or duty as a director (directors liability is covered under another section of this policy) trustee or power of attorney.
  • Insured accepts a liability which they would otherwise not have had.
  • Employment disputes
  • Involving spouse, ex spouse, domestic partner, ex domestic partner including them being a complainant or victim.
  • Legal actions which the Insured have intentionally encouraged.
  • Legal Expenses where the Insurer does not give consent.
  • Fines / Penalties, Compensation payments.
  • Any offences under Fisheries legislation
